Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification

• Trade qualification (Electrical / Plumbing / Mechanical)
• Certification in HVAC or refrigeration (advantageous)
• Health & Safety certification (e.g., OHS Act knowledge)

 
Experience

• 3–5+ years in a hotel or hospitality maintenance environment
• Experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel highly preferred
• Proven supervisory or team leader experience

 
Technical Skills

• Strong multi-skilled technical ability:
• Electrical fault finding
• Plumbing repairs
• HVAC systems
• General building maintenance
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

 
Administrative Skills

• Maintenance scheduling systems (e.g., PMS or job card systems)
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, email, reporting)
• Record keeping and reporting
