Field Technician – Fleet & Weighbridge Systems
Witbank / Middelburg (or willing to relocate)

 

Join a forward-thinking team at the cutting edge of fleet management and weighbridge technology. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Field Technician to install, maintain, and support onboard vehicle hardware and data systems across industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Install and commission hardware in trucks and fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve wiring, hardware, and connectivity issues
  • Support weighbridge and data capture systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance and system health checks
  • Work on-site at mines, power stations, and logistics depots

Required Skills

  • Trade Test Auto Electrician: 4 to 5 years

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills (12V/24V systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
  • Proven experience installing and maintaining technical hardware
  • Willingness to travel and work independently in field environments
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards

Advantageous:

 

  • Experience as an auto-electrician or with fleet systems
  • Knowledge of telematics, GPS, GSM, or IoT technologies
