JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work under direct supervision of Production Scheduling Engineer

ROLE PURPOSE

The Production planner ensures production requirements are planned with each entity in Operations to ensure On Time in Full completion of orders to customers (internal and external).

RESPONSIBILITIES –

• Lead planning process for area of responsibility and ensures cross-functional consensus is reached.
• Ensure all Planning tools and systems are updated timely and accurately.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders within the production environment to achieve a successful supply to customers.
• Ensure Ops and Sales teams are updated on changes in order statuses, and delivery date changes when it is necessitated.
• Always maintain an open line of communication with the Planning group and Expeditors daily.
• Coordinates preparation of production schedules and materials
• Be informed on sales forecasts to determine and medium-term requirements for production resources.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships in Operations environment to maintain a harmonious and proactive working environment

Desired qualification and skills

• Matric
• Computer literate
  
• At least 2 years’ experience in the Pump industry
• Syspro experience
• At least 1 year planning experience
• Attention to details
• Safety conscious
