Functional Unit - Programme Management Office
Position objective:
Responsible for coordination of the discretionary grants to ensure that all grant allocations, payments and grant packs are done in accordance with compliance standards, reconciled correctly and captured in in line with the policies and procedures of the SETA.
Position Benchmark/Summary:
Provide comprehensive coordination in the Programme Management Unit. To develop and implement discretionary grants programme and assist in overall coordination and disbursements of grants for the SETA
Key responsibilities:
Compliance: Check Grant Claims for discrepancies and take corrective action if necessary.
Financial Control: Capture payment details onto the Commitment Schedule for allocation purposes and ensure the schedule is up to date.
Risk Management: Undertake monitoring to review implementation progress and risk.
Audit Support: Assist Auditors with queries and payment reports issued for audit purposes.

Candidate Requirements
Education/Qualifications:Minimum: Diploma in Business/Project Management or equivalent (NQF Level 6)
Ideal: A B-degree or equivalent in Business/Project Management (NQF Level 7)
Experience:
5 years’ experience in finance management environment (including at least 3 years’ experience in grant claims processing and coordination within the SETA environment), with focus on record keeping requirements and preferably in the administration of the public sector
Experience in initiating, monitoring, and evaluating skills development projects, portfolios of projects and/or programmes in the private or public sector will have an added advantage
