My Client based in Cape Town is seeking a Import Clerk to be apart of their dynamic team.

Minimum requirements:

Matric
Maritime experience will be required
Strict adherence to rules and regulation
Strong Computer and communication skills (MS Word, Excel, Navis, Outlook)
Planning and organising skills

Duties:
Counter duties, attending to receipt of documents.
Validating Original Bills
Client Liaison
Reconcile payments for receipting
Receiving and acknowledging receipt of Release Documents
Capturing of Release Documents and hand to AM for final release
Expediting Agent haulage releases for early delivery instructions
Identify and inform customers to expedite release of Direct Delivery / Reefer shipments
Notify customers of overstay deadline and surrender documents prior vessel ETB
Follow up on uncleared containers to avoid cargo being moved to state warehouse.
Arrange movement of uncleared containers to be delivered to the depot prior to the last free day in the terminal.
Processing of invoices
Assisting to resolve queries
Processing carrier haulage instructions.
Filing / Attach all release files for Acquittals.
Assist in other CSS functions during busy period or in absence of staff.
Ensure all emails are attended to/acknowledged daily.
Earmarked for persons with disabilities
