PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of all IT equipment, camera surveillance, monitoring, and SCADA systems, by providing technical support, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring timely resolution of system issues to support uninterrupted business operations.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of all IT equipment, camera surveillance, monitoring, and SCADA systems, by providing technical support, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring timely resolution of system issues to support uninterrupted business operations.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administrative and Reporting
- Prepare and submit scheduled reports accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, job cards, and system updates
2. Systems Maintenance and Support
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot all SCADA, camera surveillance, and IT systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and uptime
- Install, configure, and commission cameras and related IT equipment
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks and service job cards in accordance with standards
3. Asset and Job Card Management
- Capture, update, and close job cards accurately within the system
- Track system faults, repairs, and maintenance history
4. Parts and Inventory Management
- Source, order, and manage spare parts required for maintenance and repairs
- Ensure availability of critical components to minimize downtime
5. Stock Control
- Conduct monthly stock counts and ensure accuracy of inventory records
- Prepare and capture physical inventory stock count sheets
6. Ad Hoc Duties
- Perform additional tasks as required by Management in line with company policies and procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 (NQF 4)
- Certificate/Diploma in CCTV & Surveillance Systems or Information Technology will be an added advantage.
- Certified courses in the relevant field Namibian citizen
- Five (5) years’ experience in a relevant field with installations and maintenance on equipment and Monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in English, being bilingual will be highly advantageous.
- High level of computer literacy with advanced mastering of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
