Our  client, based in Roodepoort, is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their team.

You will manage full-function accounting for a diverse client portfolio up to trial balance, encompassing monthly management reporting, payroll, and complex reconciliations. By overseeing statutory SARS submissions for VAT and PAYE while providing direct advisory support, you will ensure total legislative compliance and financial integrity.

Requirements

·        Certificate /Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·        MINIMUM 3–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role (preferably within an accounting firm or client services environment)

·        Currently residing no further than 20km from Roodepoort (relocations will not be considered)

·        Ability to work up to Trial Balance

·        Working knowledge of SARS eFiling (VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL submissions)

·        Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel)

·        Strong understanding of VAT and payroll tax regulations in South Africa
