We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietician to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutritional assessments, counselling, and interventions for patients across various clinical and community settings. The role requires a professional who is passionate about improving patients’ nutritional well-being, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and contributing to multidisciplinary care planning.

The ideal candidate will have completed their community service in South Africa and hold current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dietician, with all documentation up to date. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, clinical competence, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.

You will be required to work from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, and must be available for on-call duties every alternate weekend. Because of the nature of the position, candidates must reside in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town or be willing to relocate there. Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans are essential to effectively serve our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group nutritional assessments and develop tailored care plans.
• Provide dietary counselling and education for patients with medical conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, renal disorders, and gastrointestinal issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Manage and monitor patients’ dietary progress and adjust recommendations as necessary.
• Deliver community-oriented nutrition programs and health promotion initiatives.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and remain informed of current nutritional research and best practices.
• Be available for on-call consultations during alternate weekends as scheduled.
