Scrum Master (Contract)

Location:Bellville, Cape Town

The Opportunity

This is a contract role for a Scrum Master who brings more than process someone who can genuinely enable teams, unlock flow, and drive meaningful delivery.

Youll work across multiple cross-functional teams within a scaled Agile environment, contributing to both team performance and broader programme alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Enable teams to operate as self-managing, high-performing units

Facilitate Agile ceremonies with structure and purpose

Remove impediments and improve delivery flow

Partner with Product Owners to maintain focused, value-driven backlogs

Drive visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies

Support cross-team alignment and programme-level delivery

Embed a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Qualifications

Relevant IT Degree or Diploma

Agile Certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe or similar)

Experience

Minimum 4 years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or delivery lead

Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)

Exposure to scaled Agile or multi-team delivery environments

Proven ability to coach teams and improve delivery outcomes

Knowledge Skills

Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks

Skilled in facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement

Ability to influence across teams and leadership levels

Understanding of Agile metrics and delivery performance

Knowledge of SDLC and product delivery lifecycle

Tools

Jira, Confluence, Miro (or similar collaboration tools)
