Reception / Reservations Vacancy: George Our client is a renowned hospitality establishment, based in the heart of George, who are currently on a recruitment drive for a Reception / Reservations agent to join their team. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, and customer service driven. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Welcome and greet guests – check guests in and advise on all amenities in and around the area, direct guest to their rooms and ensure check in is confirmed on SemperAnswer calls and emails – assisting where possible including hotel rates, services and availability, booking as per emails, sending out proforma invoices and ensuring full payment is received prior to guest arrivalsEnsure reservations are done and bookings confirmed to back to guest – follow up with outstanding reservations dailyEnsure proper room allocation to maximise hotel rooms and revenueAssist guests with any additional questions / queriesConfirm relevant guest informationVerify guest's payment methodMaintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookingsAny other ad hoc duties that may be required by management from time to time

Qualifications:

• Matric coupled with hospitality / tourism certificate and / or diploma
• Computer literate MS Office Suite – Semper (advantages) or similar
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• 3 years in a similar role with 3* and / or 4* establishment
• Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle (night shift)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday Alternating Shifts / Week 1: 7:00 - 14:00 / Week 2: 14:00 - 21:00 etc
• Saturdays Sundays & Public Holidays: 14:00 to 20:00
