- Maximise the collection of school fees.
- Manage the Fee Assistance processes and actively promote voluntary payments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed debtor records.
- Minimise overdue accounts and reduce the need for external collections.
Our client in the Educational sector has a vacancy for an experienced Credit Controller to professionally manage the Debtors and school fee collections as well as participate in the finance team.
Key Purpose of the Role
Candidate Requirements
- Full credit control function, including timely payment allocations and monitoring of accounts receivable aging.
- Distribution of monthly statements and follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Direct communication with parents regarding outstanding payments.
- Support external audits and collaborate with legal teams on debt recovery.
- Budgeting and Fee Assistance administration.
- Active participation in the Finance Committee.
- Preparation of debtor reports.
- Matric plus a diploma in Bookkeeping, Debt Collection, or Credit Management.
- Proficiency in Pastel Partner, MS Word, and Excel at an intermediate level.
- Experience with Scadsys Finance is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in debt collection.
- Minute-taking experience is a plus.
