Employer: SOS Children's Village
The Office Manager is responsible for optimizing office operations, oversees daily office operations, ensuring efficiency by managing facilities, supplies, budgets, fleet and staff support, while also handling administrative tasks like scheduling and implementing procedures to optimize workflow and maintain a positive environment. Combines administrative office support with supply chain oversight, including procurement, inventory control, shipping, and facility management. Large element of the position involves supporting senior management and the board with meetings, travel and other logistics.

Required Skills
- Management Support: 5 to 6 years
- Strong Adminstrative Skills: 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 with further studies in administration, or equavalent
- A Valid South African Drivers Licence
- A Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience, with at least 4-5 years managing a similar Portfolio
- Proven report writing and strong administration skills
- Understanding of NGO operations, running an office, fleet and property management essential
- Good organisational skills
- Above average knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Fluency in English, and one or more local languages
- Knowledge of fleet/logistics
- Working knowledge of organisational policies and standards

SOS Children’s Villages is an independent, non-governmental organisation that advocates for the rights of South Africa’s marginalised children. We offer loving, family-like care for children and young people who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. Established in 1984, SOS has eight Children’s Villages and three Social Centres across eight provinces.
Each year our Alternative Care, Family Strengthening and Youth Employability programmes provide life-changing support to children and families across the country.
The Alternative Care model comprises of four principles that include a mother (each child has a caring parent), brothers and sisters (the family ties grow naturally), a house (a secure place to grow up in) and a village (the SOS family is part of the community).
Our Family Strengthening Programme aims to enable children who are at risk of losing the care of their families to grow within a safe family environment.
