Purpose of the Role

Komatsu is seeking a highly skilled Manager: Financial Accounting to lead and manage the financial accounting function. The role is responsible for statutory and management reporting, compliance, governance, and effective financial controls, while leading and developing a high‑performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial accounting function, including fixed assets, cashbook, general ledger, and month‑end close
• Ensure accurate and timeous statutory and management reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, tax legislation, and the Companies Act
• Manage external audits, including preparation and resolution of audit findings
• Oversee fixed asset management, depreciation, CAPEX reporting, and asset registers
• Monitor cash management, bank reconciliations, liquidity, and solvency requirements
• Maintain strong internal controls, governance frameworks, and accounting policies
• Lead, coach, and manage the financial accounting team
• Collaborate with senior leadership and key internal and external stakeholders
