The successful candidate will be responsible for shunting and positioning trucks and trailers within the factory premises to support loading operations. The employee will also be required to perform the general operational duties normally associated with a General Worker during the shift when shunting activities are not required.

• Safely shunting trucks and trailers within the factory yard.
• Positioning trucks and trailers at loading bays according to the dispatch schedule.
• Assisting with the preloading of trucks for delivery.
• Ensuring correct trailers are positioned for bulk or bagged feed loading.
• Conducting basic vehicle safety checks before moving vehicles.
• Maintaining safe yard traffic flow and adhering to all yard safety procedures.

When shunting activities are not required, the employee will perform the general duties normally required of a General Worker, including but not limited to:

• Assisting with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished feed.
• Performing general production-related tasks as required on the shift.
• Assisting with the movement of raw materials and finished product within the facility.
• Performing manual labour tasks required in the feed manufacturing process.
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the plant and yard areas.
• Assisting the production team to ensure efficient shift operations.
• Adhering to all food safety, quality control, risk management and safety standards.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Valid Code 14 driver’s license
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour
• Ability to work shifts
• Reliable and safety-conscious
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
