The ideal candidate offers 15+ years of executive leadership to provide strategic stewardship, optimize operations, and mentor senior management during a transitional period.
EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: CONTRACT CEO
(1-2 Year Fixed-Term Contract)
Our client, a leading, vertically integrated viticulture production and export entity based in the Western Cape’s picturesque Boland region, requires the expertise of a retired or semi-retired CEO. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role designed for an experienced professional looking to make a lasting impact over a 12 to 24-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Guide the company through a strategic transition, overseeing farming, logistics, and export operations in conjunction with the Heads of Departments (HODs)
- Operational Optimization: Drive efficiencies across the integrated value chain, from primary production to international market distribution.
- Stakeholder & Board Management: Engage with producers, shareholders, and industry bodies, including compliance management.
- Mentorship: Mentor and develop the next generation of senior agricultural management.
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
- Significant executive leadership experience (CEO/MD level) within the commercial agriculture or fruit export industry.
- Proven track record in managing integrated farming operations, including packing and cold chain logistics.
- High levels of integrity, business acumen, and a visionary approach to commercial/agricultural challenges.
- Residing in or willing to work in the Boland area.
