Employer: Ivanhoe Mines
- Master’s degree in geology, rock engineering or a related field or Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience.
- 10 years’ relevant experience in supporting the delivery of complex, large-scale NI-43-101 compliant studies with multiple Consultancies and stakeholders.
- A proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, with a high attention to detail.
- Able to manage and oversee the full project lifecycle, across multiple geoscience and engineering disciplines with a focus on cross discipline engagement in evaluations.
- Able to track multi-faceted studies and problem solve to ensure timely delivery within the allocated budget.
- Experience managing multi-rig drill programs with combination of RC pre-collar and diamond navigational drilling from surface
- Experience setting up and managing underground drill rigs and platforms
- Experience working in an underground operating mine – ensuring that evaluations do not impinge upon production.
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and guidance to Project team to ensure feasibility study works are delivered on time, within budget and in scope.
- Ability to conclude study information and outputs into an overall project business case for investment committee consideration.
- Ensure appropriate governance and assurance structures are in place and effective to guide the study.
- Safely delivering maximum value through applying orebody knowledge, to all evaluations – ensuring a multi-disciplinary approach, while ensuring a sustainable business plan
- Ensure planning, research, trials and tests and evaluation of the most economic/effective methods/processes to utilize to define the ultimate reserve for public reporting
- Effective management of consultants, in line with project expectations, timelines and company Values.
- Identification of Project risks and the implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
- Cost control / capital management.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure construction activities adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
- Provide
- Ability to conclude study information and outputs into an overall project business case.
- Manage and report on performance on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis – covering both team performance and progress against plan, and presentation of results to management / Exco as the study progresses.
- Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary.

Accountable for the safe delivery of the Kamoa Kakula feasibility study and Western Forelands PEA/ PFS studies.
Coordination of site consultant teams and site-based teams, ensuring that all agreed technical targets are achieved within appropriate environmental considerations, establishing the high-resolution data set for the 5 year Kamoa Kakula mine plan and conclusion of appropriate trade off studies.
