Our client, a leading national supplier of innovative, eco-conscious packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry, is looking to appoint a detail-oriented Bookkeeper.

There are two vacancies - one based in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate is organised, analytical, and eager to build their career in finance within a fast-paced environment. This role suits someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accuracy, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities include: *Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger, journals, and reconciliations *Process financial transactions *Ensure correct allocation of costs across departments *Capture and process local and international supplier invoices *Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies *Prepare payment runs and assist with foreign supplier payments *Generate and issue customer invoices *Monitor debtor accounts and maintain ageing reports *Perform bank reconciliations and accurately allocate incoming payments *Support credit control processes and general financial operations *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field;
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel;
• Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) will be advantageous;
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
