Employer: Casidra SOC Ltd

Casidra seeks to appoint a skilled Accountant to manage accounting services for farmers under the Financial Record-Keeping Programme, an initiative of the Western Cape Department of Agriculture. The role includes supervising Bookkeepers and Administrators, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and relevant financial information to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • CIPC registrations and updates
  • Submission of Statutory Returns
  • Compilation of Asset Register
  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Compilation of Annual Financial Statements
  • Liaise with stakeholders
  • Site visits within the Western Cape
  • Financial record-keeping training for farmers
  • Compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Supervision of subordinates

 

 

Candidate Requirements

  • BCom Degree in Accounting
  • At least 5 years’ accounting and supervision of subordinates’ experience
  • Knowledge of Draftworx, Pastel Partner / Express, Pastel Payroll and Sage 1 online
  • Valid registration with a professional body (SAIPA / SAICA) would be advantageous
  • Registered tax practitioner (advantageous)
  • Experience in financial record-keeping for farmers would be advantageous
  • A valid code B driver’s license
