Draughtsperson (GRADING C4)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• National Diploma in Draughting / Engineering Drawing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Draughtsperson in the mining industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, or similar Autodesk CAD software.
• Sound knowledge of mining layouts, shaft systems, and infrastructure design.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and safety standards.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Experience with electrical and structural draughting
  
• Exposure to underground mining operations (e.g., shafts, decline systems).
• Knowledge of GIS systems or Engineering software
  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings, layouts, and plans for mining operations and infrastructure.
• Interpret and convert engineering designs and survey data information into detailed drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with statutory regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and surveyors, to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control systems.
• Conduct regular updates of plans to reflect operational changes underground and on surface.
• Assist with project planning by providing accurate visual representations of designs.
• Ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements.
