HEAD: CYBER SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING R1,307,905 TO R1,691,130 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: CS 45/26 ● CIVIC CENTRE, CAPE TOWN

Requirements:  

• A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferable a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
• Information Security Management Certification will be advantageous
• Eight (8) years’ or more relevant experience covering all aspects of the Information and technology function of which three(3) years should be at management level
• Driver’s licence.

Key performance areas: 

• Responsible for deployment of Cyber Security program including:
  • Network Security Firewall, IPS and SWG
  • Application Delivery Controller and WAF
  • Endpoint Management
  • Identity Lifecycle Management
  • Incident Management
• Participate in City working groups including:
  • POPIA Incident Response Committee
  • Business Continuity Committee
  • Risk Committee
  • Data Working Group
• Map and report compliance to applicable standards including ISO27001
• Provide evaluation and remediation guidance on all security events in the IS&T technology estate
• Relationship management and communication with senior management/peers to translate corporate/functional business objectives into a strategic/tactical business plan for the Cyber Security
• Report to the Manager: Cyber Security on operational security status, threat posture and various IT security operation matters
• Ensure continued improvement of information security and regulatory compliance
• Responsible to support the implementation of cyber security strategy
• Undertake financial management and control
• Project management, contract management, procurement management and bid management
• Optimisation of people skills and resources.
