PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To lead and manage the company's national sales function across all provinces, focusing on achieving sustainable sales growth, driving profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining the company's position as a leading veterinary wholesaler in S.A., and oversee the Business Development Manager(JHB), Provincial Sales Managers and their teams.
Will be responsible for all company sales nationally, giving strategic input and reporting at top level.
KEY TASKS WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Develop and implement national sales strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Ensure sales targets, budgets, and performance objectives are met consistently across all regions.
Work closely with the Senior leadership team to shape long-term sales direction.
Lead, mentor, and support all sales personnel in the company.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development initiatives.
Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture across all sales teams.
Ensure alignment and consistency in sales processes, messaging, and customer engagement nationwide.
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly sales reporting and dashboards.
Monitor and manage sales KPIs including call volumes, conversion rates, order values, and customer retention.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Standardize and enforce best practices across Telesales operations in all provinces.
Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships.
Handle escalated customer concerns in collaboration with regional teams.
Ensure the company maintains a strong reputation for customer service and reliability within the veterinary sector.
Identify opportunities for new product introductions, cross-selling, and category growth.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, analysis, and reports to Top Management.
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, identify risks, and implement corrective action.
Track performance against budget and take responsibility for national sales results.

Candidate Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree (business, sales, marketing or related field preferred).
Minimum of 8 years in sales management, of which at least 5 years at executive/national level.
Ability to interpret key metrics, analyse sales pipelines and accurately forecasting revenue.
Excellent business acumen with strong financial literacy.
Above average proficiency in MS Excel and Word (non-negotiable).
Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, present, and maintain strong, transparent relationships with customers and staff.
Well-developed organisation-, planning-, prioritising- and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise administrative, strategic and field-related tasks.
The applicant must reside in the general geographic area.
The applicant must be willing to travel.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
