We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing team The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and accounting activities of the company

Prepares and maintains financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Manages day to day accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance

Provides financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision making

Coordinates with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory filings

Develops and maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Leads budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and analysis

Assists with tax compliance and planning activities to minimize tax liabilities

Conducts reconciliations of various accounts and resolves discrepancies

Provides guidance and support to junior accounting staf

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred

CPA certification is a plus

Candidate Requirements

Education: A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field is essential. A Certified Public Accountant CPA designation is highly preferred

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing industry setting Experience in cost accounting budgeting financial analysis, and inventory management is required

Technical Skills Proficient in accounting software such as SAP QuickBooks or Oracle Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Analytical Skills Ability to analyze complex financial data identify trends and make sound recommendations based on findings. Strong problem solving skills to address financial discrepancies and resolve issues effectively

Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders external auditors, and regulatory authorities Ability to present financial information clearly to non financial audiences

Attention to Detail Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements, reconciliations and reports Ability to spot errors and discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed

Leadership Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise and mentor junior accounting staff Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide guidance on financial matters

Time Management Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver high quality results

Compliance Knowledge Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in the manufacturing industry Experience with internal controls financial audits and compliance requirements

Problem solving Ability Proven track record of identifying financial challenges developing solutions and implementing improvements to streamline processes and enhance financial performance in a manufacturing environment
