Responsibilities

Operational Management
- Oversee all abattoir operations, including slaughtering, processing, and packaging.
- Ensure efficient workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to production schedules.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Implement and maintain HACCP and ISO 22000/9001 standards across all processes.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Liaise with veterinary and regulatory authorities to ensure legal and ethical standards are upheld.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor microbiological and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Develop and enforce sanitation protocols to minimize contamination risks.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions in response to non-conformances.
Team Leadership
- Manage and train staff on food safety, hygiene, and operational best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of production, compliance, and quality control.
Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

Required Skills

Haccp: 3 to 4 years
Butchery Management: 3 to 4 years
Abattoir Manager: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology (or related field).
Minimum 5 years of experience in HACCP and ISO standards implementation within the food processing or meat industry.
Strong knowledge of food microbiology, hygiene practices, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety.
Ability to manage complex operations under pressure.
