The role
We are looking for a Virtual Junior Finance Assistant to join our finance team in a purely transactional, process-driven role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive finance work, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable working to regular deadlines. The role focuses on day-to-day finance operations and does not include management accounts, analysis, or reporting ownership.
If you enjoy seeing tasks completed correctly, accounts balancing, and processes running smoothly, this role will suit you well.
What you'll do
- Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
- Handling finance inbox queries from suppliers and internal teams
- Performing regular bank and account reconciliations
- Posting payments and allocating receipts
- Maintaining accurate records
This role involves repeating core finance processes daily, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Candidate Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar transactional role
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive, process-based tasks
- Strong attention to detail and pride in getting things right
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Confident using Excel and accounting systems (Xero, Sage, or similar)
- Willingness to follow established processes and controls
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
