A well established manufacturing company in Nigel is looking for a Debtors / Cashbook Clerk that is strong, analytical, and that has communication skills with high attention to detail.
Qualification:
· Education: Matric with Accounting/Mathematics; Diploma or certificate in Finance/Accounting is advantageous.
· Experience: 2–5 years of experience in debtors or cashbook roles.
· Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (essential) and accounting software (Sage, Pastel is advantageous).
· Competencies: Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
Computer systems:
Proficiency in MS Excel (essential) and accounting software (Sage, Pastel is advantageous)
Candidate Requirements
Duties:
o Accurate posting of all cashbook entries payments and receipts
o Loading payments on bank profile
o Calculating and processing discounts
o Daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts to the cashbook.
o Reconciling debtors accounts and processing payments
o Liaising with the sales team
o Project accounts
o Following up on outstanding, overdue or long outstanding debt
o Generating invoices, credit notes and customer statements
o Handling queries and maintaining databases
o Processing credit applications and communication with credit insurers.
o Preparing debtor aging reports and supporting month-end closures
