Accountant / Bookkeeper | Pretoria East

Hire Resolve is seeking a meticulous and self-motivated Accountant / Bookkeeper to join a professional accounting firm based in the Lynnwood Ridge area. This role is ideal for a bilingual professional with a strong grasp of Pastel Accounting and a commitment to delivering accurate financial results.

 Key Performance Areas:

•  Data Capturing & Processing: Perform accurate data capturing of invoices and bank statements using Pastel Accounting. 
  

•  Financial Reconciliations: Manage reconciliations for bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.

•  Statutory Compliance: Handle statutory tax submissions, including VAT and PAYE.

•  General Ledger Management: Process journals for income statements and balance sheets, ensuring records are processed through to Trial Balance.

•  Payroll Function: Manage monthly payroll duties utilizing Pastel Payroll.

•  Query Resolution: Professionally handle customer queries and other financial duties as required.

   
  

Requirements:

•  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping position. 
  

•  Languages: Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

• Own vehicle Required for travels in Pretoria East.

•  Technical Skills: Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, Pastel Partner, and Pastel Payroll.

•  Logistics: Must have own reliable transport.

• Attributes: A pro-active individual with exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to their work. 
  

Position Details:

•  Salary: R 20,000 – R 30,000 CTC (Negotiable based on qualifications and experience). 
  

•  Work Hours: 08h00 – 16h30.

•  Benefits: 18 days annual leave. 
  

•  Start Date: ASAP.
