About the RoleOur client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Sales & Marketing Representative to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a field-based environment, enjoys building relationships from the ground up, and is comfortable engaging clients both on-site and through cold outreach.Location: Durban (Extensive regional travel required)Salary: R25 000 – R30 000 (CTC, includes cell phone & car allowance)Additional Benefits: Travel, accommodation; allowance covered for regional trips

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Identify new market opportunities through research and fieldwork
• Conduct cold calling and proactively generate new leads
• Visit warehouses and industrial sites (including those without an online presence)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Promote and sell products and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Introduce new product offerings to the market

Client Engagement & Support

• Conduct site visits to assess client needs and operations
• Perform measurements on-site (training and equipment provided)
• Provide after-sales support and maintain excellent customer service
• Work closely with warehouse managers and operational teams

Marketing & Projects

• Assist with drafting newsletters (contribute articles and review layouts)
• Support marketing campaigns and events
• Prepare tender documents and project documentation
• Assist with initial project layouts before handover to technical teams

Travel Requirements

• Monthly travel to the Eastern Cape (1 week per month)
• Frequent travel within KwaZulu-Natal, including overnight stays
• All travel, accommodation, and car rental costs are covered

Working Environment

• Regular work in cold storage / freezer environments (protective gear provided)
• On-site visits to warehouses and industrial facilities

Minimum Requirements

• Completed tertiary qualification
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Clear criminal and credit record
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
