Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Typist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience transcribing radiology reports accurately and efficiently. The Radiology Typist will play a crucial role in ensuring that patient records are accurately documented and maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe radiology reports from dictation accurately and in a timely manner
- Edit and proofread transcribed reports for accuracy and completeness
- Enter transcribed reports into electronic medical records system
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to POPIA regulations
- Communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Required Skills
- Typist: 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a medical or radiology typist preferred
- Proficiency in typing and transcription software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
- Familiarity with POPIA regulations
