General Manager – Laundry & Dry-Cleaning Operations – Cape TownServices | Operations & LogisticsPermanent | On-site Our client, an established dry cleaning and laundry services provider, is seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee both domestic and commercial operations. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, logistics, customer service, and operational processes, ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage daily and weekly logistics, including collections and deliveries
Oversee and manage floor staff, ensuring productivity and performance standards are met
Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews and record checks
Handle customer communication, including calls and service queries
Coordinate and assist with deliveries and collections where required
Manage invoicing and general administration
Control stock, consumables, and ordering processes
Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across both domestic and commercial services

Requirements:

Proven experience in operations or general management, preferably within a service-based environment
Strong staff management and leadership skills
Experience managing logistics, scheduling, and customer service
Good administrative and organisational skills
Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
Basic understanding of stock control and invoicing processes

This role is suited to a practical and hands-on individual who can take ownership of operations, manage people effectively, and ensure consistent service delivery in a busy environment.
