Role OverviewThe Junior Interior Designer supports the design team in creating functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. This role involves assisting with design concepts, sourcing materials, preparing presentations, and coordinating projects from concept to completion. It is ideal for a creative individual looking to grow within the interior design industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Support-Assist in developing interior design concepts and mood boards-Support senior designers with space planning and layouts-Prepare design presentations and client proposals-Create drawings and visualizations (2D/3D)Sourcing & Procurement-Source furniture, fabrics, finishes, and décor items-Liaise with suppliers and vendors-Assist with procurement and ordering processes-Track deliveries and ensure quality standardsProject Coordination-Assist in managing project timelines and schedules-Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients-Support site visits and installations-Ensure projects are executed according to design specificationsAdministration-Maintain project documentation and design files-Prepare quotations and assist with budgeting-Track project costs and expenses-Update design schedules and reports
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field
Experience
-
1–3 years’ experience in an interior design role (internships included)
-
Exposure to residential, hospitality, or commercial projects (advantageous)
Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in design software such as:
o
AutoCAD
o
SketchUp
o
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Basic knowledge of 3D rendering tools (advantageous)

Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture
Key Competencies

Creative and detail-oriented

Strong visual and spatial awareness

Good communication and presentation skills

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Team player with a proactive attitude

Working Conditions

Office-based with regular site visits
