Villiersdorp Co-operative Limited (VILKO), is seeking to employ an Irrigation Specialist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a customer-focused approach and the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships. A high level of attention to detail, coupled with strong problem-solving, planning and time management skills is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Design irrigation systems and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) *Conduct land surveys and site assessments for farms and orchards *Develop irrigation layouts and technical drawings for agricultural projects *Compile accurate pricing and costing for irrigation solutions *Present and deliver irrigation designs and BOQs to clients *Provide professional customer service and technical support to clients *Ensure all designs meet industry standards and project requirements *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• B.Eng Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering;

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar irrigation design role;

• SABI Irrigation Design Course (advantageous);

• Proficiency in Model Maker (or similar design software);

• Valid driver’s license;

• The successful candidate must be based in Villiersdorp or be willing to relocate.
