The Senior Associate is responsible for providing expert legal advice and managing a portfolio of litigation matters from inception to finalisation. The role includes drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, conducting legal research, developing case strategies, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines. The incumbent also supports junior staff, contributes to business development, and maintains high professional and ethical standards while delivering quality client service.

Minimum requirements:

Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients
Manage a portfolio of litigation matters from inception to finalisation
Draft legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, notices, and heads of argument
Represent clients in Magistrates’ Court and High Court proceedings
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
Liaise with clients, counsel, opposing attorneys, and court officials
Attend client consultations and provide regular case updates
Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and deadlines
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff
Manage case files, documentation, and administrative requirements
Negotiate settlements where appropriate
Maintain high standards of professionalism and client service
Assist with business development and client relationship management
Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
Adhere to firm policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements
