Factory Manager – Cape TownManufacturing | Engineering & ProductionPermanent | On-site Our client, a well-established manufacturing company specializing in high-performance industrial equipment, is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead and oversee full factory operations. This role is responsible for driving production performance, ensuring quality standards, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication, machining, assembly, and finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end factory operations, including fabrication, machining, assembly, and finishing
Ensure production schedules and output targets are consistently achieved
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste
Maintain and enforce quality standards and compliance across all processes
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture
Develop, mentor, and manage supervisors and production teams
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement to ensure operational alignment
Monitor KPIs and production performance, implementing corrective actions where required

Requirements:

Minimum N5 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or higher)
Proven experience within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments (e.g. compressors, pumps, turbines, HVAC, refrigeration)
Strong machining and fabrication knowledge
Experience managing production teams and factory operations
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational efficiencies
