Our client, market leader in the South African Roadside Assistance Services, is currently recruiting a permanent position for anExecutive Associate, based in Gauteng.

- Direct report to: Chief Executive Officer
The Executive Associate serves as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the broader executive leadership team. This role acts as an integrator across the Association, ensuring operational cohesion, strategic alignment, and effective execution of high-impact initiatives. In addition to providing strategic insights, the Executive Associate oversees the efficient functioning of the Commercial department, drives cross-business initiatives, and facilitates communication that supports informed decision-making at the executive level.
The ideal candidate combines strategic acumen, operational excellence, exceptional communication capability, and strong leadership influence to advance the Association's long-term priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO and executive leadership in translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and operational deliverables
- Provide strategic counsel and insights to the CEO to support effective organisational decision-making
- Manage and drive outcomes of strategic reviews, business planning cycles, and quarterly performance assessments
- Prepare high-quality briefing notes, board-level documents, and business insights for key engagements and decision points
- Take end-to-end ownership of complex projects and programmes that advance the Association's strategic objectives
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring they remain on track and deliver intended value
- Identify risks, interdependencies, and strategic trade-offs across initiatives, providing recommendations for mitigation or acceleration
- Develop robust project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and reporting metrics
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the Commercial department, ensuring optimal productivity and alignment to revenue and membership growth strategies
- Oversee performance, operational processes, and resource allocation within the Commercial function
- Collate, analyse, and interpret commercial performance data to generate actionable insights for leadership
- Evaluate existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and cross-functional collaboration
- Implement systems, tools, and governance structures to support streamlined workflows and accountability
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and governance standards that support executive visibility and decision-making
- Act as a strategic liaison between departments, enabling integrated working, knowledge-sharing, and alignment to organisational priorities
- Serve as the primary communication conduit between the CEO, senior leadership team, and internal stakeholders
- Communicate key decisions, project updates, and strategic changes across the Association in a clear and structured manner
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across strategic initiatives and commercial activities, providing frequent progress updates and insights
- Lead governance activities related to business reporting, compliance, and policy documentation for the Association
- Ensure the integrity, completeness, and timeliness of all executive-level governance output
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, management consulting, business operations, strategy, or a high-impact role within a complex organisation
- Proven success in supporting senior executives or leading large-scale, cross-functional projects
- Experience in a membership-based, commercial, or corporate environment is advantageous.

- Demonstrated ability to think commercially and strategically, with a holistic understanding of business dynamics
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and propose forward-looking solutions
- Capacity to process large volumes of complex information and distill it into meaningful analysis
- Ability to make sound judgments, evaluate alternatives, and recommend decisions supported by data and insights
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to craft compelling executive-level presentations, reports, and briefs
- Skilled in conveying complex ideas with clarity, structure, and influence
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams toward ambitious performance goals
- Strong capability to motivate, guide, and manage people in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster relationships, and work collaboratively across different teams and levels
- Skilled in navigating diverse stakeholder interests and driving alignment
Salary:
- Market related +13th cheque (performance‑based bonus)
