We are looking for an experienced Senior Rock Engineer to join a well-established mine based in Rustenburg

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

· Certificate of Competence: Rock Mechanics.

· Bachelor of Engineering Honours in Mining Engineering /Geology.

· Code 08 (EB) Driver’s License.

· SANIRE and ECSA registration.

· Member of SAIMM (South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy).

· 8 years’ practical experience in Geology / Rock Mechanics or Mining.

· 2 years management experience including preceding supervisory roles.

· Chapter 14.1 (8) legal appointment in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996).

· Design, approve and revise suitable mining layouts and support according to rock engineering
