Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering solutions company, focuses on steel fabrication, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced QC Inspector Level II, with a solid background in the steel fabrication sector.Please note that this is a junior to mid-career level role, specifically focused on Quality Control in the Steel fabrication sector, with very specific qualifications and working exposure.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You will have a tertiary qualification as a Level II Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1), coupled with 3-5 years experience as a QC Inspector,

Sound understanding of fabrication specifications – ASME, IX, AWS, etc

Sound Understanding of NDE methods and reporting (MT, PT, RT and UT)

Sound understanding of fabrication processes such as Welding, cutting, etc

Prior experience in oil & gas, riser and drilling equipment operations and specifications

You will have proven experience in reading technical drawings, coupled with the abilities to problem solve and provide corrective action solutions

You will be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, coupled with the ability to write detailed reports on issues and corrective actions, as well as liaise with suppliers and project managers to ensure the utmost highest quality fabrications.

The ability to travel extensively is essential, therefore a valid passport will be required

You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
