An exciting opportunity is available for a Service Technician within a packaging environment in the Western Cape.

In this role, you will install, commission, service, and maintain machinery at client sites, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for fault finding, repairs, breakdown response, equipment rebuilds, customer training, and providing technical support across mechanical and electrical systems. Your expertise in millwright practices, machine maintenance, and electrical and pneumatic fault finding will support efficient operations, high-quality service delivery, and minimal downtime.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have a solid background as a qualified Millwright, with at least 3 years of experience in machine building and maintenance. Exposure to the packaging or manufacturing industry will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in electrical and pneumatic fault finding, computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), and hold a valid Code B driver’s license. Strong communication and customer service skills, along with a proactive, self-motivated approach, the ability to work independently, and willingness to travel nationally and internationally are essential.
