A well-established, multi-generational business operating across retail and wholesale channels is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team in a full-time, onsite capacity. The company supplies a wide range of glassware, kitchenware, and giftware to the hospitality and interior industries, with an additional in-house branding and printing division.

The role reports directly to the Financial Manager and is responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations, financial controls, and transactional processing. This is a hands-on position suited to a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and values accuracy, accountability, and strong financial governance

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting as a major and Finance as a subject) or equivalent tertiary qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
Strong accounting and reconciliation experience
Advanced or above-average Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working with accounting software
Experience with Microsoft 365
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Process journals accurately and timeously
Prepare and review bank reconciliations
Conduct intercompany account reconciliations
Generate invoices and credit notes
Allocate customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
Manage and resolve outstanding balances
Handle and resolve customer and supplier queries
Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as required
