We are seeking a Mid to Senior Structural Engineer to join a well-established structural engineering consultancy based in Somerset West. This is a collaborative role offering the opportunity to work autonomously across a diverse range of projects — from concept through to completion — while also taking on a team-lead function to support and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, commercially aware, and possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements & Duties:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• 3–8 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided detailing software (Revit advantageous)
• Experience with BIM design software such as Prokon
• Exposure to a wide variety of projects — high-end residential, multi-level apartments, warehouses, and shopping centres
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Structural design and detailing of various structures including steel, concrete, and masonry
• Creation of technical drawings and project specifications
• Liaison with architects, specialist engineers, clients, and contractors
• Conducting site inspections of structural elements
• Team-lead role with responsibility for mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
