Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
Health, Housekeeping and Safety:
Ensure discipline and adherence to the established environmental and safety policy and procedures. • Ensure that the highest housekeeping standards are maintained. • Identification of unsafe working conditions (risks) and reporting to relevant people. • Keeping minutes of Health and Safety meetings
Customer Service:
Ensure that all communications with customers are carried out promptly in a professional manner. • Attend to customer queries, promptly and professionally. • Ensure that correct supply lead times are communicated to customers. • Communicate order status to customers as and when expected. Liaise with other production departments, PS/ FA for progress reports daily. • Annual/ Periodic Updating of pricelists on Pastel.
Develop relationships with new and existing clients:
Regular (Weekly) visits to build relationships with customers • Building relationships with existing clients that seem to be dormant • Maintaining good rapport with customers after the sale to ensure long-term business • Regular touching base with customers to understand how things are going and how you can help • Ensure to follow up with leads a second time
Introducing products to clients:
Introducing current and new company products to current and new potential clients • Networking
Client retention:
To contact leads that the internal sales team provide on a weekly basis • Check customer volume monthly • Report on customer volume, including reasons for increases or declines. Ensure that the internal sales department provides you with the names of customers that have been lost and dormant
Internal Sales Administration & Quality:
Assist with planning/ co-ordination for the obtaining of new business. • Contact any prospective customers to promote sales. • Contact existing customers for f/up of new orders. • Provide accurate quotes to customers, & keep records of quotes, in accordance with the approved method. FM • Follow-up quotes for approval of order, report any reasons for non-approval. FM • Ensure customers are aware of our trading terms. I.e. Min Order Quantities/ Services/ Lead Times/ Pricing & Deliveries. • Ensure that overall care and attention to detail of customer orders is obtained, and specific requirements are taken, to achieve total customer satisfaction with receipt of or delivery of their order. • Process and enter approved customer purchase orders into Pastel. Sales Order created and copied to Production • Send sales order confirmation to customers, e mail/ fax/ WhatsApp • Ensure approval/ Deposit is obtained when/ if required before notifying production. • Work together with FM & Stores on implementing a material requirement plan; to be reviewed quarterly. • Filing of all orders/ approved method. • Ensure all orders and additional customer instructions are completed correctly and communicated to Production clearly/ accurately
New business and Marketing:
Cold Calling for new Business • Ensure monthly sales targets are being met • Keep social media updated • Creative Ideas on new ways to market
Administration
Key Responsibilities:
Active prospecting
Impactful presentations converted leads into sales.
Playing a critical part in achieving overall revenue targets
Proactively generate new sales opportunities for target achievement.
Provide accurate product information, and technical advice where applicable.

Candidate Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:Matric or relevant experience and qualification
Experience 1-3 years of proven success in a B2B or B2C sales environment
Proven experience communication mastery.
Microsoft Office Technical proficiency.
