Job Title: Draughtsman / Technical Draughts personLocation: Germiston South AfricaSalary: NegotiableProduce accurate technical drawings and plans for engineering / manufacturing projects using CAD software and industry-standard drafting techniques. This role ensures that all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and relevant statutory regulations

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on engineering or architectural specifications.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, or technical specifications into precise CAD drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with SANS / ISO standards, company policies, and relevant statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to clarify design requirements.
- Review and update drawings as designs are revised or improved.
- Maintain an organized library of drawings and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support during the production and / or assembly phases.
- Assist in design calculations or drafting layouts as required.
- Keep abreast of new CAD software developments and industry best practices.
 
 
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
- National Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Draughting or related field (NQF Level 5–6).
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD..
- Understanding of technical drawing standards and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
 
Desirable:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with ECSA (Engineering Draughting / Technician) or similar institution
- Experience in manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling, structural design, or mechanical component drafting.
 
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years practical experience in a drafting role within a manufacturing industry.
