KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Ventilation Engineer

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage a world-class, Ventilation Engineering function for a specific Business Unit. This role is responsible for the implementation, management and monitoring of the Occupational Environment domain by participating in the planning of the mine and establishing safe work programmes.

You will have the following:

• Must have an Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control or equivalent
• Must have at least 8 years of ventilation engineering in an underground mining environment
• Must have at least 3 years managerial experience
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
