Join the finance team at one of Hout Bay’s premier luxury hotels!A prestigious 5-star hotel in Hout Bay is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial administration of the property. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and passionate about maintaining the financial health of a leading hospitality establishment.Key Responsibilities:Handle daily bookkeeping functions including capturing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations accurately and on schedule.Maintain cashbooks, petty cash, and journals.Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and statements.Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.Support the Accountant and Financial Manager with audits, VAT submissions, and financial analysis.Monitor stock, procurement, and revenue entries in collaboration with department heads.Ensure all financial records are compliant, accurate, and up to date.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting / Bookkeeping.
• Minimum 3 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Proficiency in Pastel / SAGE / Xero and MS Excel.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of hospitality financial systems is advantageous.
