Candidate Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

·        Transaction Processing: Recording financial entries, sales, and purchase invoices.

·        Bank & Account Reconciliation: Matching bank statements to internal records and reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly.

·        Payroll: Processing salaries and wages.

·        Taxation: Assisting with VAT reconciliations and returns.

·        Record Keeping: Maintaining organized financial documents and updating ledgers.

·        Software Use: Utilizing accounting software (Pastel, Sage) and Microsoft Excel. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

·        Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance/Bookkeeping (or equivalent).

·        Experience: Previous bookkeeping experience in an accounting firm (multiple sets of books) (2+ years preferred).

·        Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Pastel. Other accounting packages will be an advantage.

·        Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, numeracy, organizational, and communication skills.
