An established and reputable South African manufacturer of specialised lighting solutions, with over five decades of industry experience, is seeking to appoint a Financial Manager to support its finance function.The organisation operates within the industrial, mining, and commercial sectors, combining strong technical expertise with local manufacturing capability. This role is suited to a hands-on Financial Manager with experience in a manufacturing environment, who is comfortable working up to Trial Balance, managing month-end processes, and supporting operational areas such as costing, stock, and work-in-progress.Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will take ownership of core financial processes, including management accounts, reconciliations, VAT submissions, and audit coordination, while also contributing to pricing, bill of materials, and cost analysis within the business.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Preparation of financial records up to Trial Balance
• Preparing Consolidated Management Accounts
• Monthly Recons:
  • Bank Recon
  • Stock Recon
  • Work In Progress Recon
  • VAT Recon
  • Other Recons
• Prepare and Submit Vat forms to SARS
• Monthly Journals and Provisions
• Update and maintain pricing
• Do various reports to Managing Director on a monthly basis some will need to be customized to fit specific purposes
• Work out costings on special fabrications
• Be able to set up BILL of Materials
• EMP501 recons
• Manage Creditors and Debtors Clerk
• Handle the external audit on a yearly basis

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 / Matric with exemption
• Relevant Diploma or Degree
• Postgraduate in Accounting, Financial Management or CIMA
• Have very good MS Excel skills
• SAGE Evolution experience will be an advantage
