TO START ASAP (6FTC) !

PURPOSE: To ensure optimal performance and reliability of mechanical systems across fleet, packhouse, and farm operations. KPIs are aligned with maintenance best practices and strategic objectives to improve uptime, reduce breakdowns, and enhance efficiency.

KPI 1: Preventive maintenance compliance above 90%
KPI 2: Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) above 175 hours
KPI 3: Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) below 5 hours
KPI 4: Breakdown response time within 1 hour
KPI 5: On-time execution and reporting of inspections and major overhauls
KPI 6: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce recurring failures
Report to the Maintenance Foreman and maintain open communication regarding equipment conditions and operational needs.

· Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural machinery, packhouse equipment, hydraulic systems, Forklifts and fleet vehicles as needed.

· Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns.

· Execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

· Fabricate and install mechanical components using appropriate tools and techniques.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records and support CMMS implementation.

· Collaborate with technicians and production teams to ensure equipment reliability.

· Comply with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Support training and development of junior staff where applicable

Conduct Root Cause Analysis: 3 to 4 years
Cmms Implementation: 3 to 4 years
Hydraulic Systems: 3 to 4 years
Mechanical Fitter Trade Test : 3 to 4 years
Repairs On Agricultural Machinery: 3 to 4 years
Diagnose Faults And Conduct Root Cause Analysis On Mechanical Breakdowns: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Education and Experience:

· Mechanical Fitter trade test or equivalent mechanical qualification.

· Fitter and Turner qualification will be an advantage.

· Minimum 3–5 years in mechanical maintenance, preferably in agricultural or industrial environments.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

· Must be able to navigate various areas of the organization’s physical premises.

· Ability to work extended hours when required.
