Advance your career in the manufacturing industry as a Mechanical Supervisor based in the Western Cape!

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities are maintained in optimal working condition to support productivity and plant efficiency. You will manage mechanical staff and contractors, oversee continuous maintenance on plant machinery, and coordinate the implementation of mechanical projects within set timelines and budgets. You will also contribute to maintenance planning, oversee compulsory inspections on critical machinery, and ensure compliance with safety standards, housekeeping practices, and operational procedures while driving team performance and development.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have an N4 Mechanical qualification and be a qualified, trade-tested Fitter. You should also have at least 7 years of experience in a similar environment, including 5 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics is essential. Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities are important. You must be able to manage conflict, communicate effectively, think analytically, and work well under pressure. Electrical insight and some project management experience will be advantageous.
