PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position will support the HR Manager and HR Department to ensure that the department is fully functional and accountable. This job will focus on organizational functions and other ad hoc functions. It is imperative that all work performed is done professionally and that deadlines are met.


*This position is based in Maun.

Detailed Responsibilities

Management Recruitment

  • Preparation of documentation pertaining to work permit/visa applications.
  • Direct liaison with approved recruitment agencies for supply of manpower.
  • Designs recruitment advertisements internal and external.
  • Draft employment offer letter and contracts for selected candidates.
  • Meets walk-in applicants, collects and assesses CVs.
  • Obtains and assess all certificates and testimonials of the candidates through reference checks with previous employers of applicants.
  • Make up part of the interviewing panel for candidates up to supervisors level and provide feedback to relevant parties within the organization. 
  • Shortlists collected applications and share with concerned departmental heads for evaluation and interview confirmation.
  • Drives and arranges for travel and accommodation for extended interview trips for management interviewees.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and apprises employee of benefit options.
  • Prepare employment contracts, and arrange for new employee induction programs.
  • Recommends training for candidates suitable to undergo Lodge Management training.

Administration

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager.
  • Compose and distribute routine written correspondence from human resources department.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper files.
  • Maintain administrative forms.
  • Ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Maintain payroll information as required for the Salaries department to process for newly employed Managers.
  • Process employee enrolments and terminations as required for Management upwards staff.
  • Communicate timeously with Payroll on new Management hires and terminations

Human Resource Management Systems

  • First point of contact for Management employees.
  • Maintain document workflow and work procedures and conduct appropriate self-audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and queries.
  • Organizing and managing new employee orientation, on-boarding process
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management, Business or Public Administration or related field.

Experience:                    

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in the HR fielddealing with complex HR issues. 
  • Previous management & development of a brand will be an advantage.
  • Proven previous accountability for financial results
  • Experience in handling trade relationships
  • Proven experience managing reportees
  • Computer skills (MS Office suite)- Microsoft office, email, internet and importantly Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proven English literacy and fluency
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
