Our client, a well-established operation in the agricultural/packhouse sector, is seeking an experienced candidate to take full responsibility for managing and optimising their production department.

PACKHOUSE PRODUCTION MANAGER

NELSPRUIT AREA

Requirements:

·        Previous experience in a similar role within the agricultural sector

·        Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability

·        Proficient in MS Office

·        High attention to detail

·        Strong team player with the ability to work independently

·        Must be willing to work irregular hours, including night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

·        Manage weekly packing plans, pre-sorting, and daily production targets

·        Ensure quality control meets customer standards and HACCP/BRC compliance

·        Oversee stock control, material ordering, and investigate delays

·        Execute production plans and control costs

·        Optimise packing processes for maximum efficiency

·        Manage chemical stock and mixing processes

·        Liaise with maintenance to ensure smooth packhouse operations

·        Ensure health & safety compliance at all times

·        Manage staff performance, training, discipline, and employee relations

·        Oversee timesheets, attendance, and performance evaluations

·        Maintain strong working relationships across teams
