Responsibilities

Manage Feedlot Department
Manage health of animals
Develop production plans according to the requirements of the various units and Sales
Establish plans and requirements for inputs, raw material as well as any technical items
Follow up on the processes within the various stages of production
Ensure efficiency in order to maximize production capacity
Continuous monitoring of production all the way through to final production ensuring compliance with quantity and quality requirements
Generation of various reports including slaughter, daily production and other relevant periodic summaries
Ensure compliance to all safety regulations including but not limited to – equipment, processes, production and microbial contamination
Stock take, including variances and control
Ability to adapt timeously to changing order/customer requirements

Required Skills

Agriculture: 4 to 5 years
Feedlot Management: 4 to 5 years

Candidate Requirements

Requirements

MUST HAVE 5 to 10 years Management experience as a Manager in an Abattoir/Feedlot environment
B
C Agriculture
Fully Covid-19 vaccinated
Expert knowledge of various beef cuts, standards, HACCP and ISO procedures
Good administration and reporting skills
Fully computer literate on MS Office
Strong leadership and decision-making skills are essential
Ability to communicate well with people at all levels within the company
Valid South African Driver's License and own transport
Salary R40 000 to R60 000 Cost to company per month – subject to relevant experience, qualification and skillset
